In the survey article, modern data on etiology, pathogenesis, clinics, genetics and diagnostics of pheochromocytomas/ paragangliomas are analyzed. It also presents methods of instrumental examination and current recommendations for treatment.
Effect of zoledronic acid on bone mineral density in women with postmenopausal osteoporosis was evaluated in 2-year open multicenter observational study in real-world settings in Russian Federation. These data confirmed efficacy and safety of zoledronic acid treatment which were previously shown in the international clinical trials.
The purpose of this report is to discuss the main factors that prevent the stable metabolic compensation of type 1 diabetes mellitus in adolescents, which must be taken into account in the management of the patient, the selection and control of therapy, as well as in training the patients themselves and their parents to control the disease.

In this research, the main non-compliance with hypotensive medications and their most common combinations are presented. Analysis of doctor’s recommendations for taking medications was made. We formulated recommendations for improving compliance in the DoctorPatient System.

Etiology, and ante-natal and post-natal outcomes in premature breaking of waters (PBW) were considered, as well as obstetrical practice of managing incomplete pregnancy complicated with PBW, and indications for premature abortion of incomplete pregnancy complicated with PBW.

The article presents modern approaches to the use of menopausal hormone therapy (MHT) in certain diseases of therapeutic profile. It is shown that, in rational choice of MHT, it can be successfully used almost in all diseases of therapeutic profile.
Differentiated approaches to treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases of small pelvis organs were considered. It was defined that inclusion of peat and sludge muds in the therapeutic complex has the most favourable influence on hormone genesis in patients with normal menstrual cycle, retained menstrual rhythm and insufficiency in lutein phase of the cycle.
A meeting of the Discussion Club «Controversial and Unresolved Issues in the Treatment of Cough in Children in Outpatient Practice» with the support of the Pediatric Respiratory Society was held in Moscow on September 30 2017, bringing together leading Russian experts in pediatrics, pulmonology, immunology and otorhinolaryngology. There is the experts’ agreed opinion.
The article analyzes national and foreign publications covering epidemiologic features of influenza and respiratory viral infections. Efficiency of vaccinations against influenza which has been held during the last 17 years, was shown. The results of interferon application, starting from the first years since it was discovered, were presented. The structure of ARVI and influenza morbidity, with allocation of age groups which were mostly involved in the epidemiologic process, was described. The material analysis allows to conclude that, in the period of epidemiologic increase in ARVI morbidity, timely application of recombinant interferon preparations for prevention and treatment allows to reduce influenza and ARVI morbidity, first of all, in organized groups of children and among the contingent under the risk.
The prevalence of seasonal allergic rhinitis with/without bronchial asthma in sensitized patients depends on many environmental factors: climatic and geographical location of the region, exposure to pollen, co-morbid diseases, etc. Study of local features of Respiratory Allergy is important for the planning of prevention and proper pharmacotherapy. In the whole world, patients are prescribed intranasal glucocorticosteroid medications (budesonide, mometasone, fluticasone propionate, etc.). In moderate or severe form of allergic rhinitis, and prevalence of stuffiness in nose, intranasal corticosteroids are the drugs of the first line of treatment.
The review presents the criteria for a new classification of immunomodulatory drugs, which can be useful for a general practitioner. These criteria facilitate the selection of immunostimulant/immunomodulator in a specific clinical situation. Through the prism of these criteria, this paper provides information on the mechanisms and evidence of the prophylactic and, separately, therapeutic effectiveness of bacterial lysates, in particular OM-85 as one of the most studied and tested immunomodulators.
Results of the genetic typing and immunologic analysis in patients with atopic dermatitis are presented. Various genetic polymorphisms in genes of GST (M1, T1 and P1) were described in patients with atopic dermatitis. The whole set of the results obtained indicates the necessity to pay attention to the detoxication abnormalities in patient with atopic dermatitis while working out personalized treatment and preventive measures.
Chronic cerebral ischemia is the syndrome of progressing multi-focal or diffusive cerebral lesion, manifested in clinical neurological, neuro-psychologic and/or mental disorders, conditioned chronic cerebral brain insufficiency and/or repeated episodes of acute disorders in cerebral blood circulation (discirculation, transitory ischemic attack, stroke).
