Abstract

Clinical cases of effective use of combined lipid-lowering therapy (statin and ezetimibe) in patients with extremely high risk, who failed to achieve the target values of the level of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol were presented. Use of this drug combination allowed to achieve the target values of lipid spectrum in patients safely and effectively, and to reduce the risk of repeated cardiovascular events.

Abstract

The article is devoted to analysis of relationship of left ventricular remodeling, plasma renin level, glomerular filtration rate in patients with arterial hypertension and renal additional arteries. It is shown that hormonal and hemodynamic factors in young patients with arterial hypertension of 1–2 degrees with renal additional arteries create a load on left ventricle, contributing to pathological myocardial remodeling in the form of eccentric hypertrophy and concentric remodeling.

Derangements of hemostatic system after cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass are described in detail, but predictors of thrombotic complication in this group of children are still not detected. It was suggested that fibrin-monomer level and von Willebrand factor concentrations could be used as predictors of thrombosis in infants with congenital heart diseases.

Abstract

The results of prospective comparative study on application of the traditional therapy, and the one combined with butyric acid and inulin in patients with irritable intestine syndrome were presented, with the follow-up period of one year. This study has demonstrated authentically high therapeutic effect of butyric acid and inulin in patients with irritable intestine syndrome and low level of the disease recurrence, according to the results of the prospective study.

The article presents data on papillomavirus infection caused by human papilloma virus (HPV). The etiological and pathogenic mechanisms leading to the development of the disease are given, the risk factors for HPV infection, the clinical picture of different forms of the disease are described in detail. Abstract

The problem of polymorbidity in dermatological practice conditions the need for careful compliance with the diagnostic algorithm and analysis to identify the possibility of etiopathogenetic interconnection of diseases and their impact on each other. In this article we present a case of rare combined pathology — atopic dermatitis and porokeratosis. We want to draw the attention of practitioners to the fact that in this clinical observation the fact of establishing the final clinical diagnosis was delayed for 20 years, which led to the development of mental disorders in the patient.
