Professional Experience:
Professor Fatkulina began her academic career in 2001 as a teacher and researcher at the Faculty of Health Sciences of Klaipėda University. Since 2017, she has worked as a full-time Professor of Nursing Science and Director of the Institute of Health Sciences at Vilnius University. Her professional background includes eight years of clinical medical experience (1995–2003) at Klaipėda Seamen's Hospital, along with extensive participation in national and international projects through the European Commission TAIEX programme, Baltic Sea Region programme, and WHO Healthy City Network.
With a distinguished research record, Professor Fatkulina has authored over 130 publications, including 22 publications indexed in Clarivate Analytics' Web of Science, 93 publications in Lithuanian and international scientific journals, and three methodological books. She holds membership in the European Academy of Nursing Science and has contributed to public service as an elected member of Klaipėda City Municipal Council, where she chaired the Health Care Commission. From 2014 to 2017, she served as Vice-Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania.
