Differential diagnosis in the syndrome of irritable large intestine: lactase insufficiency is in the spotlight
Abstract
One of wide-spread diseases whose course resembles irritable intestine syndrome, is disaccharidase insufficiency. Clinical classification of lactose intolerance was considered, as well as approaches to diagnostics of lactase insufficiency and treatment of the patients, including dietary therapy and use of probiotics.
